Planning Guide
Party Planning
Everything you need to throw a very good frozen-drink party — from how much to buy to the day-of timeline.
How many drinks?
One machine comfortably keeps 15 to 25 guests in frozen drinks with refills — a full 128 oz batch pours roughly 16 to 20 drinks. Under 15 guests, one machine and a backup batch is plenty. Over 15, two machines keep things flowing.
One machine or more
A single machine works beautifully for smaller groups — since it stays cold, each refill freezes in about half the time. For bigger events, two machines let you run one spiked and one alcohol-free so nobody waits, and packages come at a discount.
Recipes & a shopping list
Every rental includes a recipe guide. Use the batch calculator on our recipes page to turn your guest count into an exact shopping list — margaritas, frosé, palomas, plus kid-friendly slushies and milkshakes.
The shopping checklist
For about 20 guests (roughly two batches): ~128 oz of base liquid plus up to two 750 ml bottles of spirits; limes, salt or Tajín and garnishes; cups (about 1.5× your guest count), straws and napkins; and a pitcher to pre-chill your refills.
The day-of timeline
Morning: chill all your liquids — cold mix freezes twice as fast. About 45 minutes before: mix, pour into the tank, and start the cycle. During: serve and top up with pre-chilled refills. After: drain and rinse with warm water for two minutes.
Pro tips
Mixes need some sugar to slush (diet versions won't freeze well). Use a dedicated wall outlet within 6 feet — no extension cords. Strain any pulp so the spout doesn't clog, and don't overfill; liquid expands as it freezes.
